The 12th and 13rd of March) Sara Jane Evans knighted into the Nobel Order of Spanish Wine Knights in London last 9th of March, visited the Rueda D.O. and will taste its wines.
Sara Jane Evans is a distinguished food & wine writer whose passion and exceptional knowledge about Spanish cuisine and wine culture shines through in all her work. Made Master of Wine in 2006, the UK writer has worked as editor for the BBC Good Food Magazine and was a contributor to Hugh Johnson’s wine guide. She is renowned for her outstanding knowledge of Spanish wine, especially regarding Sherry, and has been a jury member at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards. In addition, she has written various publications, including a book about Spanish cuisine and one about Seville, as well as a dissertation on Sherry, with which she secured the already mentioned title, Master of Wine.
The Nobel Order, created by the Spanish Foreign Trade Agency Office in London IN 1984, now has 63 outstanding members, singled out for their exceptional contribution to the promotion of quality Spanish wines in the UK.
